George Millard is an award-winning saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist, arranger and educator in London. He works in Jazz, Pop, studio and show music.
George regularly performs on alto, tenor, baritone and soprano saxophones as well as being an accomplished woodwind player. Whilst particularly interested in performing large and small ensemble jazz, George is a versatile musician with experience in Pop, Classical, Latin, R&B, Hip hop, Afrobeat and Blues.
He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Carlos Lopez-Real and Jean Toussaint (Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers), at the University of North Texas with Brad Leali (Count Basie, Harry Connick Jr., Freddie Hubbard, Kid Rock) and has an academic degree in music from the University of Leeds.
George has performed at many of London's top music venues and events, including the Barbican, the Royal Albert Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the Vortex, the Hideaway, the 606, the 100 Club and the London Jazz Festival, as well as venues and events overseas including the North Sea Jazz Festival and Amsterdam's Bimhuis.
